About orc names

How orc names sound

Orc names are blunt: one or two syllables, heavy on g, k, r, sh and hard vowels (Grom, Thokash, Mogdush). Short names are easy to shout across a battlefield, which is the point.

Deed-names

Many settings give orcs an epithet earned in battle or life: Ironjaw, Bonegnawer, Ashhowler. It gives players an instant piece of history to explain.
